Day 1

This morning we went early to the airport. With our private bus we were there just on time. When we arrived we were directly included in the wonderful world of flying. Our personal guide Jordi provided the necessary guidance. When we arrived in Naples a bus was waiting for us. The bus was anything but in proportion with the number of passengers! We felt us directly more than welcome. When we arrived in Agropoli our host families were waiting for us. We said goodbye to the Group and continued our way to San Marco. I was introduced to the      'Italian way of drive‘. When I arrived at my host family, Cook Suzy was already in the kitchen. It got me immediately clear that hospitality was equal with super good food. After eating I talked with Maria. We taught each other a few words and I came in touch with the music group Mòda (her favorite band). After that chat we went together with Sara and Jordi for a walk on the beach. We went all the way to the next village named ' Santa Maria ' where we have eaten an ice cream. It was Sara’s birthday and she was FAMOUS… Everyone we encountered, she knew them all! After the walk, we went to the birthday party of Sara. It was a great party. The best opening sentence of the evening was said to Jordi! You have the 6, i have the 9, so together we are 69?! One to remember!

Day 2

Get up with a sweet donut and a caffè macchiato. Heaven on earth! After this very tasty breakfast we went to Paestum by train. We saw here the impressive ruins! At each information sign I practiced along with Mrs Paquet my English language. We were introduced to the selfie-stick and the football of Simone! After Paestum, it was family time. We sat more than 3 hours at the table. First we ate a kind of tapas than a pasta after this there was a chicken with potatoes and finally a cake immersed in rum! If you still had a place you could still eat an ice cream! I had never eaten so much! The niece of Maria had made a game for the occasion. It was a treasure hunt. The little nephews won and got Easter eggs. We did also the limbo. In the evening we returned to Agropoli, where we have eaten together with the group. It was hectic but very cosy. After dinner we went to the beach to play football. Belgium won!

Day 3

Caffè macchiato, check! happy, check! In time for the bus, check! But the bus itself was not on time … With a little bit of delay we were in Agropoli. From here we left for Pompeï! After a short coffee break and ice cream we visited Pompeï. The old Roman site was incredible! How this has been preserved so good, is simply not understandable! I was really surprised! We ate a pizza and returned to San Marco. Back home, we ate together with Sara and Jordi. You could eat donuts with ice in the restaurant! Jordi and I were planning to take two dishes, but after our bruschette ai frutti di mare we were satisfied. After the little restaurant we decided to go to the “porto”. We sat there the whole evening and we watched the sunset. It was really one of the most beautiful things I've seen in my life!!

Day 4

Today was our day off. Maria took me to Santa Maria. Here we ate a typical Italian breakfast. A graffa (a sweet donut) and of course a caffè macchiato! It was really nice! After our breakfast Maria gave me a little tour. She showed me all the beautiful places and she gave explanation. After this tour we went back along the coast to San Marco. As lunch we ate meat on the barbecue with vegetables and bread. There were 2 cakes. One that her grandmother had made with strawberries. The other cake bought Maria's Dad in the restaurant where we had eaten yesterday. They were both incredibly delicious!!! In the evening we went to Tiki Taka (a café) to wait for the group. We would go together to the porto. In the Tiki Taka was a little girl that was super cute. We played together with her the game ninja! When everyone arrived, we went together to the porto. For the second time I saw that beautiful sunset! After the sunset, we had dinner with the Group. It was a great and funny evening!

Day 5

Today was our first day school. The bus was already a little bit later but that was no problem. ‘Italian way of life’. We started with a lesson physical education followed by a lesson French. The enthusiastic teacher French sang every song! Quelle Fête! After French we got time to work on our games. We divided the tasks and deepened us together with Maria and Otilia in the development of the game. At one o’clock in the afternoon the lessons were over. We took the train to Salerno and ate there a very big and delicious ice cream! After a difficult search for the perfect selfie-stick, Lise, Amber and I became the proud owner of 3 selfie-sticks. In the evening we returned to Agropoli. We have eaten there together with our Italian friends.I t was super fun and of course super delicious!!

Day 6

Last day ... I miss it here already!
At school we were allowed to attend the classes philosophy and French. I have never followed such fun lessons! Take a selfie in the middle of a lesson? It can! After class we went together to the park. After that we went to a restaurant where we ate with the whole group. After dinner it was time for saying goodbye! But no one wanted to say goodbye! Not only for the nice weather but of course for the sweet and hospitable people!!!

I'm already looking forward to our next encounter Maria!
You are like a sister to me. xxx
