When everyone was going to Italy, we got some assignments in Belgium. To give some examples, we had to find some people to form the word ‘Italië’, which is Italy in Dutch and we had to take a picture with a dog.
Thursday, April 30, we had to colligate six dustbins around the Market Place with a rope. Of course we didn’t have a rope this long. So we did this assignment on Tuesday.
In the weekend, we could choose between three assignments: take a picture in Italian clothes, take a picture with a dog or make an obeisance for the ones in Italy.
Laura: I chose to take a picture with a dog, this assignment didn’t take a lot of time. This was great, because I didn’t have a lot of time in the weekend.
Semanur: I was doubting, because I’m afraid of dogs, I don’t have Italian clothes and I didn’t want to write an obeisance. When I got home, I saw that my sister had some Italian clothes, so the decision was made. I was going to take a picture with the Italian clothes.
Ruth: It was hard to make a choice between the assignments. To start, I’m very afraid of dogs, then I didn’t know what they meant with ‘Italian clothes’. After all I chose to take a picture with the Italian clothes. When we went to Italy with school, I bought a T-shirt for my brother. On the T-shirt was written ‘Universita Sienna’. I think this clothes are good enough.
Monday, we got the assignment to go to the library to search two books, without looking them up. With those two books, we had to take a picture. After all we asked the lady of the library to help us finding the books. We found out that only one of the books was in the library, so we took a picture with it.
Tuesday, we had to find people who wanted to help us with the assignment, because we had to make the word: ‘Italië’ on the ground. After a while we found enough people to help us, and like that we accomplished the assignment.

On Tuesday we also did the assignment of Thursday, the one with the dustbins and the rope. We started with good weather, but after a while, it started raining… It was terrible. But we did it, because, what’s the point of starting something if you can’t finish it?

They made 2 pyramids instead of 2. They hadn't had enough time. Luckily we are a very kind-hearted and we confirm their assignment.
Assignments
We made a
couple assignments for the travelers. There were active and passive
assignments. The assignments had to take place in different locations like the
airport of Rome, Pompei, etc… To give you a good impression of the assignments,
I will explain them.
Ø While the students and the teachers
are waiting for their Flight in Rome, they had to shout ‘KUKELUKU’. They have
to film it. Everyone had to shout
‘KUKELUKU’ before they entered the plane, including the teachers.
We received a their funny video. Everyone has participated in this exercise. They have not only done the exercise before the flight but even
during the flight. Everyone was watching them and probably taught that they
were weird but that was the funny thing.

Ø There was also another assignment
they had to do in the airport. Everyone had to honor a person in the airplane
(expect for Mrs. Paquet). They have to film the honoring.
They
couldn't do the exercise because they
had not enough time. Luckily we prepared many other exercises.
Ø The travelers have to write a song
for their Italian partner school. The travelers have to sing their song for
their new Italian friends. We needed to get the lyrics of their song.
The travelers wrote a song, but they never sung it for their Italian friends. We need it to receive the lyrics, but they haven't send it to us. So we can't accept the assignment.
Ø When the travelers were in Paestum,
they had to visit the Basilica. The travelers need it to take a picture
together with the Italians. They need to form pyramids.
They made 2 pyramids instead of 2. They hadn't had enough time. Luckily we are a very kind-hearted and we confirm their assignment.
Ø In Pompei the travelers had to sing the
song ‘Pompei’. The teachers had to sing their talent.
They send us a little movie. It was great. Everyone was singing along. It seemed like they were a tide group. I'm not going to say they should participate Idol but we accept the assignment!

Ø The travelers had to thank their
‘families’. So we asked them to write a thank you letter for their family. They
need it to make a picture when they handed their letter.
Sadly the travelers didn't write a letter for their families! So we can't confirm the assignment :(
Ø When the travelers are back in the
airport of Rome, they had to build a house of cards. Of course we expect a picture.
And again the had not enough time... Too bad! :(

Amber took a selfie with a moustache man, Lise took a selfie with her friend with glasses and Eva made a self with scarf lady! We are very proud to say that they succeeded their assignment! But we are very sorry to announce that Dakotha, Sam and Jordy didn't take a selfie. That means a 'no' for their assignments :(
